| My preciousss… I found this beautiful lidded box at Grandads miniatures This item is not just a “mini“, but a jewel. “Brian has turned this amazing lidded box from trustone lapis lazuli with a pedestal and finial hand turned in brass. To top the finial off he has set in a faceted, claw set, sapphire stone. The trustone lapis has the gold veining of the pyrites showing. Trustone is the natural stone crushed and mixed with polymers and when it is turned and polished it looks and feels just like the original stone.The whole box has been buffed and polished and the brass has been left in a natural finish. The overall height is 38mm amd the maximum diameter is 15mm.“ | |
